CAWES Fundraising Gala
The 20th annual CAWES Fundraising Gala is March 6, 2014 at the Black Knight Inn. One hundred percent of the proceeds raised at this event will support the Central Alberta Women’s Emergency Shelter. In honour of their 20th year, they’ll have an evening of excitement planned – truly a celebration of the decades of support Central Alberta has shown families affected by domestic violence. Included in the evening will be many of the unique features that have made this event a success over the years, such as luxurious Live and Silent Auctions and funnyman Danny Hooper at the top of his game.
Tickets can be purchased online at www.cawes.com
With the community’s ongoing support of the CAWES Fundraising Gala, they have been successful in raising nearly one million dollars towards the movement to end family violence. Just last year, they met over 3,000 people who made the brave step towards a life free from violence. With support again this year, they will continue to dedicate their efforts towards prevention initiatives, child-focused healing programs and providing the necessary tools for their clients to become safely independent.
They’re still accepting silent auction donations and financial sponsorships. Interested parties can receive more information at www.cawes.com
